Child Sponsorship is a program, which connects a child with a sponsor for the aim of contributing child’s development through daily life support in all social aspects and make sure they grow happily with hope for the future.

GNTZ introduced the program in 2006, started with 500 vulnerable children from Madale Community Development Project [CDP] in Dar es Salaam and up to now more than 10,000 children with their families have been benefited from various services.

Currently the program has extended and serve more than 7,000 sponsored children allocated in 10 CDPs within 6 regions Dar Es  Salaam (Madale, Salasala & Kigamboni CDPs), Pwani (Bagamoyo & Fukayosi CDPs], Morogoro (Pangawe CDP), Songwe (Nambinzo & Shitungulu CDPs) Mwanza ( Kome & Chifunfu CDPs), including the new one Dodoma [Chamwino CDP].

Through the program, children’s rights are respected and protected by accessing various services such as Education materials (stationeries, school bags, shoes, uniforms, secondary fee etc.), Healthy support [Assurance of their health through provision of Insurance service cards, health checkups, medical treatment & nutrition kits] and hygiene kits.

In addition, through advocacy program these children are being aware on their rights and get the voice to speak in various campaigns.
