Secondary Radio Education in Zanzibar area office conducted transmitter installation ceremony that signified the new start for the development of education in Pemba.
The ceremony was conducted at ZBC office in Pemba and was attended by the top figures from the MoEVT including Principal Secretary, ICT director and Afisa Mdhamina of MoEVT Pemba. It also attended by Chake- Chake district commissioner, representatives from ministry of information and communication, press personals, local government authorities, among others. In a general sense, the ceremony was well received by educational practitioners in Pemba and they were very grateful for what Good Neighbors have done for their children education.
The installation of transmitter in Pemba is a huge step toward accelerating development of education in Zanzibar, especially application of ICT in teaching and learning. The installed transmitter will allow the broadcasted education radio programs to reach as many students as possible in Pemba.
